In Rise of Kingdoms, Achilles is an Legendary Cavalry commander. He has the Cavalry, Versatility, and Combo talent tree.

Should you invest in Achilles?

Achilles is a cavalry commander that is extremely powerful. What makes him strong is his ability to deal huge AoE damage that applies stacks, allowing him to deal even more damage. It does not matter if you are free-to-play or pay-to-win—you should get Achilles.

If you do not have enough legendary gold sculptures, you can unlock him at 5511 and he will still perform well. Achilles brings cavalry-focused power with a 5-target 2000 DF AoE, rage/normal damage boosts, and combo synergy that elevates Arthur, Attila, William, and Philip.

  • Massive 5-target AoE: Active Pelean Spear hits in a circle for 2000 DF (rare for cav) + 20% slow (3s).
  • Stacks its own debuff: Sundered (+5% dmg taken from Pelean Spear, up to 3 stacks) – great in murderballs with multiple Achilles.
  • Great field stats & speed: +40% ATK, +10% HP off-territory, +20% march speed.
  • Rage engine + normals buff: Wrath of Achilles → +10% normal dmg always; after casting, +10% rage gain & +10% ATK for 10s (stacks 2× = 20%/20%).
  • Passive re-proc: Mitigation-based re-cast of active lets you fire Pelean Spear again during brawls (expertise improves it).

Achilles Pairings

King Arthur Icon 1 Arthur

Monster combo output. Arthur’s kit turbocharges procs, causing massive damage in a short period of time. Arthur and Achilles are of the best, if not the best, cavalry pairings you can have.

Attila iconAttila

Attila’s +30% normal damage after casting, combined with Achilles’ +10% normal damage, creates a huge combo/normal ramp. Amazing when paired with Arch formation inscriptions.

If you do not have Arthur or Attila, you can pair Achilles with William iconWilliam, Philip icon 1Philip, or Hector.
