Mary is an engineering commander in Rise of Kingdoms with engineering, versatility and skill talent tree. Mary is designed for range combat where she boosts DOTs and puts debuffs. Her skills are more for supporting instead of doing instant damage.

Should you invest in Mary?

If you are free-to-play player or do not play range combat then 100% skip and do not invest in Mary. Reason is that she is a range combat commander that is useless if you do not have other range combat commanders and gear for her. On top of that you have to love range combat playstyle.

  • Reliable DoT: applies ranged additional damage for 4s (up to 1,200–1,800 total depending on distance).
  • Solid stats for siege: +20% attack, +10% march speed, +10% defense (from another skill).
  • Works both at range and when pressured in melee (higher DoT per tick up close + 5% dmg taken debuff).
  • Damage is DoT-centric (no big nuke); slower payoff than bursty ranged primaries.
  • Value gated by expertise (the 15% skill dmg & 30% extend chance are huge).

Archimedes IconArchimedes: Archimedes is best commander that you can pair with Mary. Together they have great synergy that will allow them to deal a lot of damage.

If you do not have Archimedes feel free to pair Mary with any engineering commander that you have like John and Steven.
