Rise Of Kingdoms 1.0.87 “Rex Totius Britanniae” Update

We plan to update the game to version 1.0.87 “Rex Totius Britanniae” on 2024/10/22 UTC. Before the update, you can download data in advance via the Update Version tab on the events page to earn rewards. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and will send you a compensation reward once the update is complete.

An all-new Season of Conquest story: King of All Britain! Come take part in the inaugural Pioneer test for this year’s “key story”!

There’ll be a few teaser events before story registration begins:

  • Sharp Eyes & Quick Hands: Take on new puzzles in this race against the clock!
  • First Strike: For a limited time, you’ll be able to try out the new Legendary Viking commander: Prime Ragnar Lodbrok!
  • Runic Revelations: Select a question, then draw futhark runes to divine an answer. Share your results to earn a reward!
  • Chat Keywords: During the teaser events, you can earn a reward the first time each day you mention one of our “story keywords” in the chat: King of All Britain; Holmgang; Raid; Vikings; English.

Within the story itself, you’ll get to experience a ton of new mechanics:

  • Starting Province Selection: Based on the camp rankings in the Eve of the Crusade event, each camp will take turns selecting a starting province (Mercia, Wessex, East Anglia, or Northumbria).
  • Holmgang: Form a team with other English or Viking governors and duel other teams for Stratagem Points, unique titles, buffs for your entire camp, and other rewards.
  • Stratagems: In the reworked Stratagem system, you can use Stratagem Points to purchase new Stratagems and build a combination that enhances your unique playstyle. New Stratagems will be added to the Stratagem Shop as the Lost Kingdom Chronicles progress.
  • Burh Raiding: Scattered across the Lost Kingdom are both Viking and English Burhs. Raid Burhs belonging to the enemy to loot valuable rewards.
  • Prime Ragnar Lodbrok Artifact: At a certain point in the Lost Kingdom Chronicles, you’ll receive the unique artifact “Megingjörð”, designed exclusively for Prime Ragnar Lodbrok. When equipped, all of Prime Ragnar Lodbrok’s skills will apply to all unit types.

New Events

Celebrate this Halloween with the wickedly wonderful Sorcerous Reverie event series:

  • Esmeralda’s Prayer: We never know when the wheel of life will stop turning. Maybe your luck can change?
  • Esmeralda’s Collection: Complete 7 days of quests to earn Shiny Wishing Coins.
  • Protect the Supplies: Deliver the supplies safely to the village. Protect the property of your citizens!
  • Triarch Trouble: Three teams enter, one team leaves. Who will emerge as the hegemon of Greece?
  • Road to Greatness: Purchase Gems to summon your favorite commander.
  • See the Event Calendar for a detailed schedule. Some events will only be available in regions where all kingdoms have existed for at least 21 days. Rewards for this instance of the Road to Greatness event will not include Shajar al-Durr or Choe Yeong.

VIP system changes:

  • Added a new VIP level, VIP19, as well as an even more advanced SVIP level and an SVIP Shop. We’ve also updated the buffs, exclusive chests, and special bundles for different VIP levels.
  • Upon reaching SVIP, you’ll be able to redeem decorative city effects, city teleport effects, troop marching effects, and other exclusive cosmetics.
  • After the VIP system is updated, you will retain all your unused VIP Point items. In addition, any VIP Points you earned past the previous level cap will be returned to you via mail in the form of items.

New Vacation Permit feature:

  • After entering the Season of Conquest, kings will be able to issue Vacation Permits to governors in their kingdom. If the recipient accepts, their status will be changed to “on vacation” for the rest of the season. Governors on vacation will not be counted towards their kingdom’s matchmaking score. They’ll be able to enter the Lost Kingdom, but they won’t be able to leave their kingdom’s starting province.

Another Sunset Canyon Tournament is about to begin:

  • A new Sunset Canyon Tournament event will begin after the update. See the Event Calendar for specific times and kingdoms involved.
  • The types of buffs that will take effect in the event will depend on whether or not your kingdom is in the Preparation Season. See the event rules for more details.
  • For this event, kingdoms will be matched into groups of 4, based on season. The Tournament is divided into the Preselection, Main Event, and Champion Showcase stages. Participants will be selected based on total Sunset Canyon points.

Ceroli Crisis update:

  • Added a new chieftain to challenge: the “Abominable Alchemist” Mama Marah.
  • Added strategy tips for the new enemy skills added by legend mode.

New commander stories:

  • Added new stories for Björn Ironside and Harald Sigurdsson.
  • Optimized commanders wandering around your city: Commanders with a pending conversation will not stand near buildings. Conversation bubbles above their head have been made smaller. After finishing a pending conversation, the commander will no longer block you from tapping on things.

Lost Kingdom Optimization

  • Added extra rewards for R4/R5 members to coalition/camp Honor Point rank rewards. This change will only take effect in Lost Kingdoms that begin after the update.
  • In Season 2 to the Season of Conquest (excluding Mini-Seasons), reduced the number of Alliance Fortresses that need to be built to complete the first chapter of the Lost Kingdom Chronicles. This change will only take effect in Lost Kingdoms that begin after the update.
  • In the Season of Conquest, the amount of Honor Points required for the “Kingdom’s Might” series of Crusader Achievements will now vary based on certain conditions. See the in-game rules for the specific conditions and requirements.
  • In Season 3 and the Season of Conquest, chat messages will now show the speaker’s camp symbol.

Other Changes and Optimizations

  1. Canyon Clash optimizations: Adjusted the duration of individual Clashes to make them more intense and compact. See the in-game rules for the specific durations of each stage. Adjusted the rules for earning Clash Coins and added new event quests you can complete to earn Clash Coins. You will no longer earn Clash Coins for attacking enemy combatants or winning the Clash. Settlement rewards for the winning and losing side of the Clash are now the same, but only the winning side will be able to open the loot chest. You can now share your loot chest results to your alliance chat channel. Updated the items that can be redeemed in the event shop. Optimized the layout of certain interfaces.
  2. Added an auto-recycle function to the State Forum travel feature. Any armaments you acquire while traveling that match your selected conditions will be automatically recycled.
  3. Commander interface changes: Added the ability to “favorite” commanders, pinning them to the top of your commander roster. If your device’s aspect ratio meets the requirements, the commander roster can be expanded from two columns to three columns.
  4. Barbarian Troops will no longer block you from selecting a location to teleport your city.
  5. Optimized kingdom/Lost Kingdom name placement when spectating other kingdoms/Lost Kingdoms so that it no longer obstructs your view.
  6. Added a wider display level to Strategic View. Added a “battle list” to Strategic View that allows you to view info about all ongoing battles across the map. After the update, this feature will be pioneered in the Season of Conquest story “Tides of War”.
  7. Added a “Quick Replenish” button that allows you to quickly replenish insufficient resources when researching, building, or training.
  8. Fixed a bug where dismantling Iconic “Gauntlets of the Glorious Goddess” returned the wrong types of materials.
